Compensation:$28.67/ hour plus vacation pay; 2.5% in lieu of benefits & Health Care Spending Account upon completion of probationLocation:Parkhill, ONSite:HPRSchedule:32-40 hrs/week; varied shifts includingevenings, weekends, and public holidaysApply by:Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.M.Please be advised:A Class G (full) Driver’s License is mandatory for this position.Summary of Roles & ResponsibilitiesWorking with children and youth in an out-of-home emergency/urgency stabilization settingCollaborate with teams to implement care plans that support participants' involvement in person‑centred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growthCreating and providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment for participants by developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships that attend to the diverse needs of youthNavigating conflict, overcoming obstacles, and being creative in providing support to participants while remaining calm and focused in crisis situations by utilizing effective de‑escalation and decision‑making skillsWork successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justiceQualificationsCompletion of a post‑secondary diploma inChild and Youth Care (CYC)orSocial Service Worker (SSW)- or an equivalent Human Services program.Note:Personal Support Worker (PSW) and Developmental Services Worker (DSW) certifications do not meet the educational requirements for this position.Minimum two (2)
