Learning Specialist (Contract) – Canadian Business Banking (CBB)Location:Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)Schedule:Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PMPay Rate:$42/hour + 4% vacation payRole OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and business-facing Learning Specialist to support the Canadian Business Banking (CBB) Learning & Development portfolio.This hybrid L&D role combines program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and light project ownership. You will work closely with the Lead Learning Solutions Architect and partner with HR, business stakeholders, and internal L&D teams to support the delivery of key learning initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with L&D experience who is comfortable operating beyond coordination and can confidently engage with stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLearning Program SupportSupport the delivery of L&D programs (e.G., onboarding, leadership development, sales and credit capability)Coordinate program activities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple initiativesLead low-to-medium complexity initiatives within an L&D contextStakeholder Engagement & CoordinationAct as a key point of coordination between HR, business stakeholders, and L&D partnersSupport meetings, track deliverables, and manage follow-upsPrepare and present executive-ready materials (PowerPoint)Project & Operational SupportAssist with planning, tracking progress, and escalating risks as neededSupport budgeting activities such as invoice tracking and reportingContribute to smooth execution across multiple concurrent projectsData & ReportingWork with basic to intermediate data (Excel)



to track progress and identify trendsTranslate data into explicit insights and business-facing presentationsSupport reporting for leadership updates and reviewsLMS & Process SupportProvide general support for LMS-related processes and liaise with LMS specialistsAssist with course tracking, testing, and coordination as needed (no system configuration required)Identify opportunities to improve workflows and processesCandidate ProfileRequired Skills & ExperienceExperience in Learning & Development (L&D), training, or learning program coordinationStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsConfidence presenting to or working with senior stakeholders (AVP/VP level)Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, basic analysis)Ability to take initiative and work independentlyPreferred Qualifications5–8 years of relevant experienceExposure to instructional design or learning program deliveryGeneral awareness of LMS platforms (no technical expertise required)Familiarity with tools like Copilot or productivity tools is an assetPost-secondary education in L&D, HR, or related fieldWhat This Role IsA learning-focused, business-facing roleA mix of coordination, stakeholder management, and program supportAn opportunity to lead smaller initiatives and support larger programsWhat This Role Is NotNot a pure Project Manager roleNot a purely administrative/behind-the-scenes roleCollaborative L&D team supporting Business BankingExposure to multiple learning programs and business areasHigh visibility with internal stakeholders and leadershipSuccess FactorsStrong presence and communication skillsAbility to operate confidently in a business-facing environmentBalance of organization, initiative, and stakeholder coordination#J-18808-Ljbffr
