Vallari Decor is a Canadian e-commerce business specializing in décor products for weddings, events, homes, and commercial spaces. Since 2018, we have primarily grown through online marketplaces and serve customers across Canada, the United States, and internationally.

We are now looking to expand beyond our existing sales channels and identify current opportunities to grow the business.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, outgoing and entrepreneurial Sales & Business Development Intern to help Vallari Decor identify and pursue new sources of revenue.

This role is a hybrid of sales, marketing and business development. Rather than simply selling to existing customers, you'll help us answer a bigger question:

Where else can Vallari Decor find customers and generate sales?

We're looking for a self-starter who enjoys researching opportunities, reaching out to potential customers and partners, testing new ideas, and finding creative ways to generate business.

You'll work directly with the owner and have significant freedom to explore opportunities and recommend new approaches.

What You Might Work On

- Research and identify new potential customers, markets and sales channels.
- Generate and qualify new business leads.
- Reach out to prospective customers and business partners through email, phone, social media and other channels.
- Develop relationships with event planners, wedding professionals, venues, florists, decorators, retailers and other potential customers.
- Explore wholesale and B2B opportunities for Vallari Decor products.
- Research opportunities to sell through additional online marketplaces and platforms.
- Identify potential partnerships and collaborations.
- Help develop outreach campaigns and sales materials.
- Follow up with prospective customers and maintain organized lead records.




- Research competitors and identify gaps or opportunities in the market.
- Test different approaches to customer acquisition and track what generates results.
- Help identify new uses, audiences or markets for existing Vallari Decor products.
- Bring forward new sales and marketing ideas that the business may not currently be pursuing.

- Have an interest in e-commerce, weddings, events, décor or retail.

Previous sales or business development experience is an asset, but initiative, communication skills and the ability to independently find opportunities are especially important to us.

What This Internship Offers

This role provides hands-on experience in how a real small business finds customers and develops new revenue streams.

You'll have the opportunity to research markets, contact real prospective customers, explore partnerships and test different sales strategies.

Rather than following an established corporate sales script, you'll have the freedom to investigate opportunities and come to us with ideas.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
