Location:Burlington, ONSchedule:8 hours/weekSalary Range:$33.57 to $49.24 hourlyResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive, evidence‑based Occupational Therapy services to clientsPerform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessmentsIdentify appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendationsConsult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding partiesProvide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aides as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safetyProvide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury preventionRecord assessment and treatment interventions in the client’s chartExcel in a collaborative, inter‑disciplinary team environmentExhibit sound professional judgmentQualificationsRegistered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province1‑3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist (new grads are welcome to apply)Experience within a long‑term care setting will be an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experienceValid driver’s license and reliable vehicle may be requiredValid vulnerable sector screening checkProof of Tuberculin (2‑Step Mantoux Test)
