As someone with excellent communication skills and business acumen, you will thrive in our fast‑paced and agile environment.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look likePlanning & DesignManage projects and coordinate a variety of land development planning projectsLiaise with public and private agencies, as well as additional stakeholders with diverse perspectivesCommit to the career development of staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to business development and coordination of client relationships and business growth in the GTHA and throughout Ontario and Canada including client interactions, networking, proposal preparation, and presentationsTravel to other business locations and Dillon offices for the purposes of executing your responsibilities, internal/external client relationship development, prospect/project research, acquisition and project deliveryLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self‑development and ongoing learning and professional developmentContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees and periodic participation and presentations at industry/professional conferencesQualificationsWhat you will need to succeedA degree in planning, geography or a related field, preferably at the Master’s levelFull membership in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI)ExperienceMinimum of five (5)
years of progressive land use planning and project management experience in the consulting industry and/or the public sectorStrong understanding of land use planning and development, sustainable community design, urban redevelopment, and planning policyProven experience in managing land development planning projectsDemonstrated exceptional abilities in multidisciplinary teamworkExcellent knowledge of the development industry and the land development approval process, and municipal planning policyStrong communication, report writing, organization and interpersonal skillsExperience with the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) and/or Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB) is considered a strong assetCompensation$92,000 - $115,000Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
