You may lead all aspects of a medium size group of employees in a skilled area of work which requires making decisions based on established procedure. Also, work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of the Global Manufacturing System (GMS); focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE)!Several departments currently have openings for a Maintenance Group Leader, including General Assembly, Body and Paint.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will conduct appropriate checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of resultsRecommendations for solutions to problemsResponsible for preventative maintenance, and diagnosis of equipment malfunctionsMeets schedule and quality requirementsAligns with the terms of local and national labour agreementsImplements divisional and corporate policies, and safety and good housekeeping practicesMaintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work groupResponsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipmentEstablishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project, and the knowledge and ability to implement GMS principlesAdditional ResponsibilitiesDevelop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processesUnderstood and effective use of GMSComplete safety incident investigations, and develop permanent corrective actionProvide Leadership to Skilled Trades,



and provide supervision and direction to contractors when requiredManage Equipment issues and Equipment Breakdowns, and develop permanent corrective actionDevelop improvements to standard tasks using SOPs, STSs, Maximo, and Task Instruction SheetsLead/Participate in continuous improvement eventsActively support Departmental meetings (Safety, TIP, Quality, etc)Support Production department in organizational change eventsHandle staffing levels for your GroupCreate new PMs, Maintenance PM process and PM scrubbingNew employee orientationRequired QualificationsPursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas, Engineering (Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, Chemical, Software Engineering, or equivalent) or Computer ScienceEligible to work full‑time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 8, or 12 month term (consecutive semesters) starting September 2026Willing to work in a plant environment and flexible hours (shift work, weekends, and overtime) to meet business needsPreferred QualificationsPrior manufacturing experience, knowledge of production environments, and in automotive industry are considered assetsPrevious supervisory, or team leading experienceDesired SkillsOutstanding leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audienceHigh level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self‑directedEvidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trustConsistently demonstrates creative thinking that is customer‑centricExcellent project management skills and the proven ability to manage numerous projects at any givenPossess strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skillsFundamental digital literacy including understanding of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPointThe salary range for this role is $4264- $4784 CAD.
