Salon Receptionist

Versai Salon & Spa is looking for a friendly, organized, and outgoing Salon Receptionist to join our team.

9:00 AM–5:00 PM availability is strongly preferred.

Social media skills are a MUST for this position. We are looking for someone who is confident using Instagram, enjoys taking photos and videos, and has a good eye for capturing beautiful hair and salon content.

This role combines front desk and client experience responsibilities with social media and content creation in a busy salon environment.

Responsibilities

- Greet and check in clients upon arrival
- Check clients out and accurately process payments
- Answer phone calls, texts, and client inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Book, reschedule, and manage client appointments
- Confirm appointments and communicate important information to clients
- Coordinate with stylists and team members to help keep the day running smoothly
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Assist with retail product sales and keep displays organized
- Monitor salon supplies and notify management when items are running low
- Handle client questions or concerns professionally and involve management when needed
- Assist management and the salon team with general day-to-day tasks

Social Media & Content Social media is an important part of this position.

The successful candidate must be comfortable:

- Taking high-quality photos and videos of finished hair
- Capturing before-and-after transformations
- Taking behind-the-scenes salon content
- Creating content for Instagram Stories and posts
- Using Instagram confidently
- Understanding what makes content visually appealing
- Keeping up with current hair, beauty, and social media trends
- Helping stylists consistently capture and showcase their work

Please note: You will NOT be required to appear in photos or videos or be on camera.



This part of the role is focused on being behind the camera — capturing our stylists’ work and creating content for the salon. Professional photography or content creation experience is NOT required, but you should be comfortable taking photos and videos, and have a strong eye for content.

What We’re Looking For

- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM availability strongly preferred
- Strong social media skills are required
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Confident answering phones and interacting with clients
- Comfortable handling payments and learning booking/POS software
- Interested in hair, beauty, fashion, and social media
- Confident taking photos and videos on a phone
- Able to work independently while also being a team player
- Previous reception, salon, retail, or customer service experience is an asset

Schedule We are primarily looking for someone available from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Applicants with consistent daytime availability will be given preference.

Some flexibility for occasional additional hours may be an asset.
