This position is ideal for someone with painting experience who can work efficiently in different job site environments and deliver quality workmanship.Vacancy: 2Wage Rate: 29.00/hourEducation: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experienceExperience: 1 year to less than 2 yearsOn the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employeeResponsibilitiesPrepare, clean and sand surfaces to be paintedRepair cracks and holesMix paint to desired colour and textureAdvise consumers on colours and choice of wall coveringsApply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfacesEstimate costs and materialsWork site environment includes outdoors, underground, at heights, and exposure to odours, with work performed at various locations. Experience and specialization include equipment and machinery experience with brush painting, conventional spray painting, patterned rollers, and roller painting. Surface preparation experience includes drywall taping and patching.
Wood finishing specialization includes staining, and wall covering specialization includes wallpaper and vinyl installation.Additional information: Work conditions and physical capabilities include attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work. Weight handling is up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
