SAP EWM Techno-Functional Lead

Job Overview

Client is looking for an experienced SAP EWM Techno-Functional Lead to lead the design, implementation, configuration, integration, and support of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience with SAP EWM and S/4HANA , combined with techno-functional expertise across warehouse processes, SAP integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end SAP EWM techno-functional activities including design, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support .
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP EWM solutions.
- Configure and support core EWM processes including:
- Inbound and outbound processing
- Goods Receipt / Goods Issue
- Putaway and Stock Removal
- Warehouse Orders and Warehouse Tasks
- Physical Inventory
- Internal Warehouse Movements
- Replenishment
- Handling Units (HU)
- Packing and Staging
- Cross-Docking
- Wave Management
- Labor Management
- Work extensively with SAP S/4HANA EWM and understand integration with SAP ERP/S4.
- Lead integration between EWM and MM, SD, LE, PP, QM, FI and other SAP modules .
- Work with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, forms, reports, workflows, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex EWM issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Prepare functional specifications and work closely with ABAP/development teams.
- Lead integration testing, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Support data migration and warehouse master-data activities.
- Conduct workshops with business users and warehouse/logistics stakeholders.




- Provide technical and functional guidance to EWM team members.
- Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and other implementation/support teams.
- Support continuous improvement and optimization of warehouse processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- 15+ years of SAP EWM experience with strong techno-functional expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM configuration .
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM .
- Strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics processes.

- Warehouse Task/Order Management

- Storage Types/Bins
- Putaway & Picking Strategies
- Wave Management

- Packing & Staging
- Strong integration knowledge with SAP MM, SD and LE .
- Experience working with ABAP teams, interfaces, enhancements, and custom developments .
- Experience with EWM master data and warehouse structure configuration.
- Strong experience in testing, debugging, production support, and issue resolution .
- Experience leading SAP EWM implementation, rollout, migration, or transformation projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead EWM deliverables from requirements through production.

- Experience with RF devices and RF framework .
- Experience with warehouse automation and third-party warehouse systems.

- SAP EWM certification.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.

Onsite Requirement This is a 100% onsite position in Calgary, AB. Candidates must be available to work onsite 5 days per week.
