We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP IS-U Billing solutions for a utility-sector client.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, technical teams, and offshore resources to gather requirements, design solutions, configure SAP IS-U Billing functionality, support testing, manage defects, and contribute to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Workshops

- Facilitate client workshops and business requirement gathering sessions related to SAP IS-U Billing.
- Collaborate with business users and project stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend appropriate functional solutions.
- Provide SAP IS-U Billing expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Solution Design & Documentation

- Develop and maintain functional project deliverables, including:
- Facilitation and workshop documents
- Functional specifications
- Configuration documents
- Business process and process-flow documentation
- Ensure deliverables meet project standards and client requirements.

SAP IS-U Billing Configuration

- Configure SAP IS-U Billing functionality based on approved business requirements.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
- Support integration of Billing functionality with related SAP IS-U and non-SAP systems.

Testing

- Prepare and execute Configuration Unit Testing and Functional Unit Testing.
- Develop and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) scripts.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate end-to-end billing processes and integrations.
- Document test results and support resolution of testing issues.

Defect Management

- Triage, analyze,



and resolve SAP IS-U Billing functional defects.
- Work closely with technical and functional teams to identify root causes and drive timely resolution.
- Track defects through testing and stabilization cycles.

Offshore Team Coordination

- Provide functional guidance and support to offshore SAP IS-U Billing resources.
- Review offshore deliverables for quality, completeness, and consistency.
- Coordinate activities between onshore and offshore teams.

Cutover & Deployment

- Support cutover planning and execution activities.
- Participate in CDR (Conversion/Data Reconciliation) runs.
- Support testing readiness, deployment activities, and production implementation.
- Provide post-go-live stabilization and functional support.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing configuration and business processes.
- Strong understanding of SAP IS-U utility billing processes .
- Experience preparing Functional Specifications and Configuration Documents .
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, Unit Testing, and defect management .
- Experience working with business stakeholders and facilitating client workshops.
- Understanding of utility industry processes and billing operations.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with onshore and offshore delivery teams .
- Ability to work in a hybrid model and attend the Toronto client location approximately once per month.

Preferred

- Experience with large-scale SAP IS-U implementations or transformation programs.
- Experience supporting SAP IS-U Billing integrations with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Utility industry consulting experience.
- Experience with cutover, data reconciliation, and post-go-live stabilization.
