SAP IS-U Integration Consultant

Duration: 1 Year Contract

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Remote)

Position Summary The SAP IS-U Integration Consultant will be responsible for designing, documenting, testing, and supporting integrations between SAP S4 HANA Utilities and surrounding systems. The consultant will lead integration-focused client discussions, develop technical integration strategies, and support testing and deployment activities. The ideal candidate will possess robust knowledge of REST APIs, SAP IS-U MCF Foundation, and SAP PI/PO Middleware.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Integration Workshops

- Facilitate client workshops focused on integration requirements, architecture, and implementation approach.
- Lead discussions regarding integration design, interface strategy, and technical solution recommendations.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define integration requirements.

Solution Design & Documentation

- Develop and maintain integration-related project deliverables, including:
- Integration Strategy Documents
- Integration Approach Documents
- Technical Specifications
- Interface Design Documentation
- Ensure integration documentation complies with project standards and governance requirements.

Integration Design & Development Support

- Design and support integration solutions utilizing:
- REST APIs
- SAP IS-U MCF Foundation
- SAP PI/PO Middleware
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation of integration requirements.

Testing Activities





- Prepare and complete:
- Technical Unit Test Documents
- Integration Unit Test Documents
- Validate interface functionality and end-to-end data flows.
- Support integration testing and troubleshooting activities.

System Integration Testing (SIT)

- Execute SIT test scripts and document outcomes.
- Verify successful integration between SAP IS-U and internal/external systems.
- Support test cycle planning and execution.

Offshore Team Support

- Provide technical guidance and support to offshore integration team members.
- Review solution designs and testing deliverables to ensure quality and consistency.

Defect Management

- Triage, analyze, and resolve integration-related defects.
- Collaborate with functional, technical, and middleware teams to investigate and implement solutions.

Cutover & Deployment Support

- Partner with project leads and workstream owners on:
- Cutover planning and execution
- CDR (Conversion/Data Reconciliation) runs
- Testing and deployment readiness activities
- Support production deployment and post-go-live integration stabilization.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong experience with SAP S4HANA Utility integrations.
- Working knowledge of:
- REST APIs
- SAP IS-U MCF Foundation
- SAP PI/PO Middleware
- Experience creating technical specifications and integration strategy documents.
- Experience with integration testing, SIT, and defect resolution.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed and offshore teams.
