Patio Door line Sawyer/Saw Operator

Position Summary

Screenco is looking for individuals with a strong work ethic who are interested in building a career in a manufacturing facility producing screens for the window and door industry.

As a Patio Door Line Saw Operator, you will be a key member of the production team, responsible for completing a variety of tasks and duties throughout our facility as directed by the Department Supervisor and/or Plant Manager, while adhering to all safety standards. These important responsibilities help Screenco maintain its position as a leading supplier to window and door manufacturers throughout North America.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

- Measure parts using a tape measure in both imperial and metric units
- Operate a single- or double-head miter saw to cut aluminum, vinyl, or other patio-door components.
- Operate machinery (training provided)
- Follow established SOPs, safety procedures, and production targets/KPIs.
- Handle, lift, and transport materials
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
- Identify defects or incorrect cuts before material moves to the next production stage
- Complete production tracking sheets
- Clean and organize workstations and other areas of the warehouse/manufacturing facility
- Lubricate and/or maintain equipment
- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily goals
- Assist other team members with their duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and ask for clarification when necessary




- Manual dexterity and ability to safely operate tools and machinery
- Physical ability to lift and/or move products and materials
- Ability to stand for the majority of the workday
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Availability to work overtime between April and November
- Availability for shift work
- Availability to work overtime as required
- Availability for day shift Monday - Friday 7:0am - 3:30pm
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Previous production experience in a continuous improvement environment is considered an asset
