Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Saw Operator in our Regina, SK location. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical.

Roles and Responsibilities:





- Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift including Saws / Cranes and or any other equipment used

- Perform all tasks safely and as directed

- Comply with all workplace policies including health and safety

- Be a team player

- Perform all tasks in a professional respectful manner

- Any other tasks that may be assigned by management

- Participate in all company directed training

- Responsible for selecting the correct material (bar and tube products) in order to saw cut customer orders as required

- Organize work to consistently meet established production and quality targets.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- May be required to work rotating shifts
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to operate the overhead crane / forklift
- Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / calipers
- Self motivated, results oriented
- Previous experience an asset

Starting Hourly Rate: $26.28

Fully Trained Hourly Rate: $33.58
