Seasonal Broodstock Technician (Temporary) - Gold River, BC

Cermaq British Columbia is currently seeking temporary Seasonal Broodstock Technicians to join our Freshwater team. Based out of our Broodstock facility in Gold River, BC, these positions are casual and seasonal, running from approximately from September to December to support our team during the busy spawning season. Reporting to the Brood and Egg Manager, Seasonal Broodstock Technicians play a key role in assisting with broodstock handling, spawning activities and egg collection to ensure the success of our production cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing onsite support during spawning season
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and direction from supervisors
- Assist with data collection and record keeping
- Support egg collection and disinfection process
- Fish handling and collecting sampled for egg production




- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools and equipment

Qualifications & Skills:

- Excellent communication skills
- Goal-oriented team player with the ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with solid problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands on tasks, including heavy lifting of fish
- Valid driver's license required
- Related work experience considered an asset
