Job TitleManager, Signature ProgramsVacancies: 1 current vacancyLocation: Vancouver, BCWork Model: Hybrid Work ModelSalary Band: $64,000 - $70,000 CADAbout the OrganizationThe Canadian Cancer Society works tirelessly to save lives, improve lives and drive collective action against cancer, raising funds for transformative research, providing support to those affected, and advocating for a healthier future.What You’ll Be DoingManage, coach, and develop a team of 2–4 direct reports.Meet personal revenue targets while driving the achievement of team revenue goals.Act as the main staff partner for 2–5 Run for the Cure events across Canada, both in person and remotely.Lead volunteer committees, providing guidance and coaching, and ensure engagement and results.Meet regularly with volunteer Run Directors and attend committee meetings as needed.Ensure volunteers plan and execute safe, fun, and memorable events that adhere to Run for the Cure Minimum Standards.Develop high‑quality tools, resources, and processes for the program.Create comprehensive training materials and deliver group training to staff and volunteers.Recruit and retain high‑caliber volunteers, addressing committee gaps and prioritizing succession planning.Facilitate onboarding and provide personalized training to new volunteers.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute strategies and tactics aimed at achieving program goals.Identify creative opportunities to improve the Run for the Cure program.Secure new business by prospecting, approaching, and pitching to new and existing contacts.Work with the CCS corporate team to implement sponsorship solicitation, acquisition, and stewardship strategies.Follow national guidelines including Marketing, Communications, Digital Support, Finance, Team People, IT,



and others.Maintain volunteer and stakeholder data in Salesforce.Ensure communications and materials reflect CCS’s values and commitment to diversity and inclusion.Contribute to a culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity by ensuring all staff feel represented, valued, and heard.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications5+ years of experience in fundraising, event management, and/or relationship management.Experience managing, coaching, and developing a team.Donor‑centric approach to fundraising.Strong organizational, time‑management, and project‑management skills.Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level.Experience negotiating and fulfilling event‑related sponsorship and operational contracts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with presentation and facilitation experience.Proven ability to accomplish goals and establish priorities with minimal direction.Travel within Canada; valid driver’s license and vehicle required.Adaptable schedule to accommodate meetings and events as needed.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).Experience leading volunteer organizing committees is an asset.Peer‑to‑peer fundraising event experience is considered an asset.Working knowledge of Salesforce is an asset.English required; French/Bilingualism a plus.Other qualifications may apply.What You Can Expect From UsWe offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including paid parental leave, family sick time, health insurance, and a fulfilling work environment where your efforts make a meaningful impact.We celebrate diversity and encourage applications from BIPOC, 2SLGBTQI+ communities, people with disabilities, veterans, and other equity‑deserving groups, fostering an inclusive workplace.Equal Employment OpportunityCCS is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
