Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and that health and safety protocols are adhered to. To be successful as a Shop Supervisor you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations at a time.Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesCoordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scopeOversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of projectImplement, control and review the production scheduleAssist in the definition of project scope and objectives,
involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsure resource availability and allocationSet and monitor quality standards of productsDevelop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progressMeasure project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesPreparing and updating the project schedule and delegate the work to the team based on individual strength, skill sets and experience levelsMake decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurementSchedule regular maintenance for equipmentImplement cost control programsOrdering and purchasing the required material and equipmentInventory management, cycle count, periodic count etc.Manage shipping and receiving of production itemsReporting any non conformances related to products and shipmentsEnsure implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations are metManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersGuiding designers through their projects by reviewing and approving the design and making sure the quality is up to standard.Train personnel on recent equipment and review all equipment and safety procedures based on necessity and scheduled performance reviewsEnsure workplace is safe and clean through task delegation and educating personnelPerform other related duties as assignedWork Experience Requirements / SkillsMinimum 3 years of production control supervisory experience requiredKnowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniquesExcellent organizational and time management skillsProblem solving abilities and conflict managementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEducational RequirementsA Degree or Post-Secondary education in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related technical field.Proficient in MS Office Suite software; Advance ExcelCompensationExpected Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 per year.
