? Hiring: Senior Security Architect

? Location: Toronto, ON | Hybrid/Flexible

⏳ Duration: Contract

We are looking for a Senior Security Architect with 10+ years of IT security experience and robust expertise in cloud and on-prem security architecture to support security architecture assessments and ensure solutions meet approved security standards before go-live.

Key Requirements:

- 10+ years of experience in IT security, security architecture, technologies, and controls
- Strong cloud security architecture experience
- 5–7 years of hands-on Threat Modeling using STRIDE, PASTA, and/or MITRE ATT&CK;
- Strong experience with cloud & on-prem security controls and architecture
- Experience identifying security gaps, vulnerabilities, threats, and recommending mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 and NIST
- Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, PKI, firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure communications, and network security




- 5+ years preparing technical/executive reports and presenting to senior stakeholders
- CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, or GDSA certification required
- ArchiMate, TOGAF, SABSA, or Zachman certification is an asset
- Public sector experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct security architecture assessments and identify gaps against approved standards
- Develop and maintain security reference architectures, patterns, standards, and network diagrams
- Define security requirements for cloud solutions throughout the project lifecycle
- Assess proposed architectures for threats and vulnerabilities
- Recommend security controls and architecture improvements
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership
- Support multiple security initiatives while keeping projects aligned with go-live timelines
