Security Operations Analyst
Position: Security Operations Analyst
Status: Full-Time
Hours: 12-hour shifts (Continental days/nights)
Payrate: $30-$40/hr
Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours

Job Overview:
Serving as a central operational resource, the Security Analyst, Physical Security Operations directly supports, enhances, and coordinates day-to-day security operations across commercial real estate assets. In this role, you will build, maintain, and analyze the security data systems, reporting tools, and tactical threat intelligence that drive front-line readiness and operational decision-making. Working collaboratively with site-level security teams, you will transform raw operational and incident data into actionable insights—enhancing physical security technology, driving process efficiency, aligning SOPs, and ensuring strict compliance with organizational policies and applicable legislation to maintain safe, welcoming, and resilient environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze physical threat intelligence from open and proprietary sources to identify emerging risks and hazards.
- Produce clear, concise threat reports and advisories for operational and strategic stakeholders.
- Support the development and improvement of risk assessment frameworks and intelligence processes.
- Analyze large security datasets using SQL to identify trends, risks, and performance metrics.
- Maintain and enhance Power BI or Tableau dashboards to ensure reliable reporting and visualization.
- Prepare monthly reports and datasets to support leadership decision-making and operational reviews.
- Design and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate or similar tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Manage shared datasets, document libraries, and collaboration sites while supporting data governance standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security systems, analytics tools, and operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, privacy legislation, and information security requirements.
- Support special projects and perform additional operational duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Solid SQL skills for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience building workflow automations using Power Automate or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and system administration using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with a focus on turning data into actionable insights.
- Ability to identify trends, assess risks, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and risk information to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time-management skills in fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Criminology, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining Power BI or Tableau dashboards and analytical reports.
- Experience managing shared data repositories, document libraries, and governance processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, data modeling, and pivot tables) and the Microsoft 365 suite.
