We believe that help from someone who cares should never be out of reach.Our Family Development Program located in Rocky Mountain House is seeking a:Full-Time Temporary Family Development WorkerTheFamily DevelopmentProgram provides caring and professional family support to help develop positive family relationships by teaching parenting, living, communication and behavior management skills. This program helps children, youth and parents struggling with a variety of issues. Clients are referred to this program from their local Children Services office.Minimum Qualifications and RequirementsDiploma at minimum, preferred degree directly related to Human ServicesRequired 1 year of frontline human services experience, preferred 3 years of human services work related to working with familiesProof of Membership in Skilled AssociationKnowledge of parent/child relationships and family dynamicsBasic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child,
and infant CPR & AEDSuicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation TrainingIntervention Record Check & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sectorClass 5 driver’s license, clean driver abstract and reliable vehicle for client transportationKnowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement ActKnowledge and experience within the Signs of Safety framework would be an assetPreferred experience in the CS SystemKnowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture considered an assetResponsibilitiesSupervise visits between children and biological familyYouth work and engagement including connection with natural supportsConnect families with community supports, including family advocacy and supportSupport cultural engagement and learningFamily assessment and interventionCoaching/mentoring parentsLife skills trainingFacilitating case conferences and family support network meetingsWage Range$27.28/hr - $30.51/hr.
