Maintenance Assistant White Rock, British Columbia, Canada | Permanent Full Time

The Opportunity We’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant III to join our team at Evergreen in White Rock.

What You’ll do Maintain Safe & Functional Spaces

Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs for buildings, grounds, and equipment

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

Complete repairs related to plumbing, furniture, electrical, and mechanical systems

Support the upkeep of resident and common areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment

Support Daily Operations

Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces

Participate in on-call schedules as needed for emergencies

Assist with assigning and coordinating maintenance tasks when required

Maintain maintenance records, logs, and expense documentation

Promote Safety & Compliance

Identify and address potential hazards proactively

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational policies

Contribute to a culture of workplace health and safety

Demonstrate Baptist Housing’s values through respectful and professional interactions

What You Bring Education & Experience

Minimum two years of related experience in building or systems maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Knowledge of maintenance best practices and building systems

Experience using tools and equipment related to building maintenance and repair

Working knowledge of computers and software for communication and documentation





Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform the duties of the role

Skills & Competencies

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively

Dependable, adaptable, and responsive in a fast-paced environment

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Commitment to teamwork, safety, and quality work

Compensation and Advantages

Wage: We offer a wage of $28.74 per hour according to the HEU collective agreement
