Duties

- Safely operate semi-trucks to transport freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, adhering to safety protocols
- Verify shipment documentation and ensure accurate delivery records are maintained
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and work areas, ensuring compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating semi-trucks or heavy equipment in a freight or logistics environment
- Proficiency in forklift operation for loading and unloading cargo
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
