Senior Accountant – Public Accounting

Location: Richmond Hill, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days in office A well-established public accounting firm in Richmond Hill is looking to add two experienced Senior Accountants to its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with well-rounded public accounting experience who wants exposure across assurance, compilations and tax within a collaborative mid-sized firm workplace.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and complete review engagements for privately held companies
- Prepare compilation engagements and related financial statements
- Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns (T2s and T1s)
- Assist with nonprofit and smaller audit engagements during audit season
- Work directly with clients to gather information and resolve accounting and tax matters
- Manage files independently and ensure engagements are completed accurately and on time
- Collaborate with partners and other members of the accounting team

Qualifications:





- Several years of experience within a Canadian public accounting firm
- Strong experience with review and compilation engagements
- Experience preparing T1 and T2 tax returns
- Exposure to audit engagements is an asset
- Experience working with ASPE and privately held companies
- CPA designation preferred
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage files independently and work effectively within a team
