TEMPORARY SKILLED LABOURER - PUBLIC WORKS(Applicant Pool)Reporting to: Public Works Supervisor/Assistant SupervisorDepartment: Public WorksClassification: Temporary Full-Time Hours (Maximum 6 months); UnionizedSalary Range: $30.72/hour as per Schedule “A”Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.M. to 3:30 p.M. or 3:30 p.M. to 11:30 p.M.Starting Date: As soon as possibleApplication Deadline: OngoingResponsibilitiesPerform various manual labour duties such as, but not limited to:Work on the concrete crewAssist Vactor Truck Operator with routine flushing and cleaning catch basinsWork on the sewer crewRepair manholes and catch basinsClear debris from roadwaysApply cold patch to roads needing repairs and report work completed to the SupervisorPrimarily complete duties of Waste Collection vehicle operatorWork at the Enviro DepotPerform Winter Control Maintenance duties such as Road Plow and Sidewalk plowing activitiesPerform traffic maintenance duties:Set up traffic control measuresFix or replace traffic signsPerform other duties as required, such as, but not inclusive of:Help mechanics as neededPaint and clean equipmentWash, fuel and complete general equipment maintenancePerform annual sewer inspectionsAll other duties as assignedQualificationsEssentialMust be able to work in all weather conditions.Class DZ Ontario Driver’s License in good standingMust have or willing to obtain Standard First Aid and CPR trainingMust be able to attend mandatory Orientation Training.Minimum Grade 10 or equivalentPreferredExperience operating a wide variety of heavy equipmentTraining with MTO Book 7 for Temporary Conditions,
