About the Company

We are seeking an experienced eFX Application Support Analyst for our banking client to support critical production applications within a global Capital Markets environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong Production/Application Support experience, SQL, and Linux/Unix skills, with exposure to FX or financial markets considered a strong asset.

About the Role

This role involves providing day-to-day production support for business-critical applications and operating environments.

Responsibilities

- Monitor applications, perform start-of-day checks, risk reconciliations, and regional handovers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, incidents, and production problems.
- Assess the risk and business impact of production issues and escalate appropriately.
- Partner with Business Product Owners, Business Analysts, Application Development, Infrastructure, and Technology teams.
- Support application releases through development, testing, deployment, and production.
- Participate in problem management and drive application stability, efficiency, and service improvements.
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation and procedures.
- Prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements with development and production support teams.




- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and lead discussions around production issues and resolutions.

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience in a Production Support or Application Support environment.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Strong Linux/Unix experience.
- Experience supporting, installing, configuring, or maintaining business-critical applications.
- Experience with incident and problem management processes/tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global production environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Foreign Exchange (FX), Forex, Capital Markets, Trading, or Financial Markets.
- Experience supporting FX or trading applications.
- Exposure to application releases, deployments, monitoring, and production change management.
- Experience working with Business Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technology teams.

The ideal candidate is a Production/Application Support Analyst with SQL and Linux/Unix expertise, strong troubleshooting abilities, and experience supporting applications in a financial services or Capital Markets environment. FX experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
