Overview:

We are seeking a Senior AWS GenAI & Platform Developer to support a large-scale mainframe modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for developing and deploying a Generative AI solution within the AWS ecosystem, while also building the supporting cloud platform and infrastructure required to run it.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of AWS application development, platform engineering, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and hands‑on GenAI/RAG implementation experience.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and deploy Generative AI solutions within the AWS cloud ecosystem.
- Develop a RAG-based GenAI solution that monitors API failures, processes CloudWatch logs, and leverages an LLM to provide root-cause analysis and recommended remediation.
- Build and deploy AWS infrastructure and platform components using AWS CDK .
- Develop and integrate solutions using AWS services including Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3 and CloudWatch .
- Implement and support vector-based retrieval capabilities for GenAI/RAG use cases.
- Configure and integrate Bedrock Knowledge Bases and related GenAI services.
- Build, modify, package, and deploy Docker images to Amazon ECR for use with ECS and Fargate.
- Configure and support application networking components including Application Load Balancers (ALB) and Network Load Balancers (NLB) .
- Integrate application, infrastructure, logging, and GenAI components into scalable AWS-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot application and platform issues across the AWS environment.
- Work closely with engineering, cloud, platform, SRE, and modernization teams to support delivery of the solution.

Must Haves

- Strong hands‑on AWS cloud development and platform engineering experience.
- Experience designing or implementing RAG pipelines and integrating LLMs into enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure-as-code and cloud platform deployment.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS Lambda, ECS, Fargate and ECR .
- Strong Docker/containerization experience, including building and modifying container images.
- Experience working with CloudWatch logs and AWS observability services .




- Experience with RDS and/or vector database/vector store technologies supporting GenAI retrieval use cases.
- Experience with S3 and AWS‑native application integrations.
- Experience configuring or integrating ALB and NLB .
- Robust software development background with the ability to work across both application development and cloud platform engineering .
- Experience building and integrating APIs within cloud‑based environments.

Nice to Haves

- Experience with Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases .
- Exposure to Amazon Bedrock AgentCore .
- Experience building GenAI solutions focused on application monitoring, incident analysis, root‑cause analysis, or automated remediation .
- Experience working within SRE, DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering environments.
- Previous experience supporting mainframe modernization or large-scale application modernization initiatives .
- Experience working within a large, complex or regulated enterprise environment.
