Senior Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, 5 days/week

Contract: Until March 31, 2027

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage, refine and prioritize Product Backlog Items
- Look ahead at upcoming work and prepare requirements for future sprints
- Break epics and features into concise user stories
- Define acceptance criteria, business rules, dependencies and edge cases
- Maintain the backlog as the team’s source of truth
- Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews and backlog-refinement sessions
- Define technical requirements for APIs and system integrations
- Use SQL queries for data analysis, validation and troubleshooting
- Create and manage epics, features, PBIs and user stories in Azure DevOps
- Explain complex technical options to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support usability testing and UAT; document and present findings




- Prepare process models, reports, presentations and recommendations
- Work with delivery teams through design, development, testing and implementation

Required Qualifications:

- Senior-level Business Analyst experience in Agile environments
- Solid backlog grooming and user-story writing experience
- Hands-on Azure DevOps experience
- API integration and technical-requirement definition experience
- Proficiency in SQL querying
- Understanding of system design, development, testing and implementation
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Toronto five days per week
