The MLA may also perform some basic routine procedures according to established protocols, perform phlebotomies according to departmental policy, maintain a safe workplace in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines, ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation. Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures, and applicable legislation.ExperiencePrevious related experience preferred.Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)Completed Grade 12 or equivalent, Manitoba Standards, is required.Completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program is preferred.Certification/Licensure/RegistrationCanadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification preferred.Qualifications and SkillsWindows computer environment required.Microsoft Office programs preferred.Medical terminology preferred.Sterile techniques and routine practices preferred.50 – 55 wpm keyboarding skills an asset.Apply basic math concepts such as fractions,
