Key ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate and execute all aspects of the donor journey (acquisition through to stewardship) for assigned donor groupsOversee all in‑kind donations and train staff members in accepting these donationsProvide heartfelt gratitude through phone calls, emails, hand‑written cards, personal videos, and in‑person thanksMonitor donor feedback and provide key insights for fundraising and communication improvementsBuild and steward relationships with grantorsResearch, identify and evaluate selected strategic grant opportunities in cooperation with Program Directors and the Development Director, coordinating content creation, timelines, reporting, and recognitionMaintain an up‑to‑date grants tracking file, annual grants calendar, and Raiser’s Edge (RE) foundation profilesTrack donor stewardship and maintain donor journey documentationResearch best practices and stay current on effective fundraising strategies and trendsTrack, analyze and report on key stewardship metrics monthly, quarterly and annuallyProvide data‑based recommendations on new initiatives within the established strategyManage project timelines for other fundraising initiatives as assignedSupport the Development Manager and team on strategic initiatives and projects as requiredProvide backup to team members during vacations or out‑of‑office periodsJob Specific Knowledge / SkillsPrevious experience or certification in fundraising is a definite assetStrong oral and written communication skills that inspire and engageProven project management skills including planning, organization,
follow‑through and time managementSelf‑directed with high capacity to manage multiple shifting priorities and timelinesHigh attention to detail and accuracyExcellent ability to maintain confidentiality at all timesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Raiser’s EdgeEducation / ExperiencePost‑secondary education in a related field such as Communications, Project Management, Customer Service, or similarA minimum of two (2) years of related office experience, coordinating projects or fostering client relationships/customer serviceProven ability to engage a variety of constituents, including colleagues, donors, and volunteers, with excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines, accountability and reportingCritical SkillsCommitment to understand and uphold the mission and values of House of FriendshipExemplary emotional intelligence, resilience, communication, conflict management and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work professionally as a team member with staff, participants and community membersExperience or solid interest in working with diverse populations and a sensitivity to their needsExperience with and commitment to an anti‑racism, anti‑oppressive and trauma‑informed approach to consultation, program design and service deliveryDependability, professionalism, flexibility, teamwork and a positive attitudeRespectful, supportive and engaging approach to persons with physical and/or cognitive disabilities,
