This includes progression pathway and support education to discharge.Position SummaryWorking as a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality careResponsible for the provision of nursing care, teaching, and coaching patients and their familiesResponsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and THP Best Practices ProtocolsQualificationsTHP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in good standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNOA current annual certificate of competency with the College of Nurses OntarioAble to function to the full scope of practice as per CNOMedication Certificate and experience with administration of medication within the last year requiredPrevious experience working in an acute medical/surgical setting with sound patient care nursing skills (IV therapy, wound care, etc.) requiredMinimum 1 year experience in surgery requiredRecent cardio/vascular surgery experience preferredCurrent Coronary Care Level 1 Certificate or successful completion within six (6)
