Position Overview: Reporting to the Supervisor, Children & Youth Services, Day Camp Counsellor, Sr. is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of an eight-week summer camp program. Duties and Responsibilities Participate in camp training & agency orientation. Assists in the development of the summer camp program plan. Ensure the safety & security of the camp. Lead in responding to critical situations. Provide guidance & support to camp counselors. Responsible for supervising children. Maintain skilled relationship with peers,



children & community members. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of working with children & youth. Able to multi-task. Ability to accept supervision and seek counsel. Dependable, punctual and flexible. Second language an asset. Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer. Currently enrolled or recently completed a diploma, degree and/or other certificate in a post-secondary institution. Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
