About The Role

Embarking on a career as a data engineering developer within the modelling and risk strategies team at National Bank offers a unique prospect to influence the organization’s analytical capabilities. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights by designing, implementing, and optimizing data infrastructure and pipelines. You will serve as a data analytics specialist, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration from collection to deployment in analytical environments.

Your expertise will directly impact risk management, decision-making processes, and strategic initiatives by ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accessible data sources.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess relevant educational background in data science, statistics, computer science, economics, or mathematics, complemented by at least five years of practical experience in data engineering. Proficiency in data design, management, transformation, and modeling—such as data vault or dimensional modeling—is essential.

Experience working with big data manipulation and processing tools is required.



Candidates should demonstrate strong skills in at least one of the following technologies: SQL, Python, Spark, or SAS. Familiarity with development and delivery management tools like Jira, Jenkins, or GIT is necessary, along with knowledge of cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake. A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability is highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for exposing modeling and risk strategies, collection, and recovery data within the Bank's analytical setting, managing the entire process from data ingestion to implementation.
- Implement data quality monitoring solutions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
- Optimize SQL and Spark tasks to enhance data processing efficiency and performance.
- Develop and track performance indicators related to data analysis, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business lines to organize, present, and leverage data effectively, contributing to the development of data strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and document authoritative data sources that meet the evolving needs of various business units.
- Design, automate, and deploy real-time data integration solutions that adhere to best practices and meet sector-specific requirements.
- Assess infrastructure needs for data analysis and develop technological solutions to support scalable, secure,



and efficient data environments.
