partners and employees.Working with outside contractors.Promoting Health and Safety in the workplace.Performing other duties as required.QualificationsMust have a valid electrical Red Seal electrical ticket.Must have an operator's ticket T/Q.Must be able to carry an apprentice and hotel building permit.Must have a minimum of 1 year recent experience as a journeyperson electrician.Must have a minimum of 3 years' recent experience, either as an apprentice or journeyperson, in a fast-paced, unsupervised, service-work environment, responding to unique situations that require research, investigation, troubleshooting, and problem solving.Must be computer literate, with a demonstrated ability to conduct online research and troubleshoot electronic components connected to various systems, such as building automation systems, music systems, lighting systems, CCTV systems, etc.Must have experience in the maintenance of electrical equipment, and repair of electrical/mechanical apparatus, appliance repair, and new construction.Must have the ability to read electrical drawings.Must have the ability to troubleshoot and research in situations where drawings or reference material are unavailable.Proven leadership qualities.Previous hotel experience is an asset.Must demonstrate self-motivation in learning about new systems and technologies.Physical Aspects of PositionThe position of Electrician is physically demanding. The successful applicant must be physically capable of performing repetitive work, including kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (for up to 8 hours), with the occasional ascending or descending of ladders, stairs and ramps.Visa RequirementsMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
