This exciting in-house opportunity is based in our Toronto office or Mississauga office.This is a temporary 18‑month contract/secondment opportunity.Salary range:74,800 - 91,400ResponsibilitiesProvide practice management support on assigned filesDraft pleadings and LAT formsReview productions and prepare pre-discovery/pre-hearing lists of additional productions, documents, and information to request from counselManage all aspects of undertakings, including: preparing and maintaining undertakings charts, corresponding with counsel to request undertakings, reviewing responses to confirm satisfaction, and drafting motion materials to compel answers where requiredCoordinate Independent Examinations, including retaining experts and preparing expert briefsPrepare and maintain paperless briefs for Accident Benefits and Tort mattersSummarize documents for Accident Benefits and Tort mattersSupport trial/arbitration preparationExperience supporting any of the following is an asset: Qualified Negligence, Errors & Omissions, Directors & Officers Liability, Employment and Human Rights, Property, Construction, Surety, Marine, Class Actions, Subrogation, Abuse ClaimsQualificationsDemonstrated a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Defence Litigation Law ClerkCollege diploma and/or university degree, or equivalent work experienceStrong knowledge of Tort matters, including Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure, along with Accident Benefits (SABs, FSCO/LAT forms and processes,
