As the Shop Technician you will be responsible for completing a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks required by our loyal customers.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFollow machine shop safety protocols, WHMIS/LOTO procedures, and workplace best practicesSelect, use, and maintain trade‑related hand tools and precision measuring instrumentsInterpret and apply trade reference charts, tables, and engineering printsRead and interpret mechanical component and assembly drawings including GD&T and tolerancesApply metal cutting principles to work pieces and cutting toolsPerform trade‑related calculations including speeds, feeds, tapers, and geometric valuesLay out trade‑related geometric work pieces accuratelyHeat treat and hardness test ferrous metals using industry‑standard methodsSelect appropriate metals, plastics, and abrasives based on machining characteristicsSet up, operate, and maintain shop lathes and milling machines, horizontal and vertical band saws, a radial drill press and hydraulic press,
