Hiring: Senior Enterprise Architect

Location: Fredericton, Recent Brunswick, Onsite (5 days per week onsite)

Duration: September 8, 2026 – September 3, 2027 (possibility to extend)

Hourly Rate: $90/hour - $115/hour (based on experience)

Client: Public Sector - Healthcare

Responsibilities:

The Solution Architect will be required to:

- Develop architecture deliverables for the expansion of the Drug Information System, and integration of the Public Health Information solution with Community Pharmacy systems and other ODH business and application requirements;
- Assist and support Projects and Operational Teams with solution strategy and design to ensure alignment with ODH architectural goals, principles, and standards;
- Assist in the development of solution requirements, standards, and guiding principals for ODH Services;
- Review and provide feedback on Project deliverables;
- Participate in Stage Gates used to determine if an initiative is ready to move forward;
- Regularly communicate with the appropriate EA representative(s);
- Ensure solutions are aligned with DH’s standards;
- Assist in the development of Vendor Implementation Guides(s) for integration Solution(s);
- Assist in the planning and implementation of integration solution(s)
- Regularly engage with the SNB and vendor teams for the purpose of collaboration, guidance, and development;
- Other duties as assigned by ODH’s Enterprise Architect.

Must Haves:

- A University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 15 years of IM/IT experience.
- A minimum of ten (10) or more years of demonstrated experience as a lead Solution Architect on medium to large system development, COTS implementation, or healthcare integration projects. The referenced experience must have been obtained in the last fifteen (15)



years. Medium to Large complex projects are those that:
- Cross multiple business units and/or organizations,
- Involve multiple direct project participants (i.e. more than 8),
- Operate for an extended period (i.e. more than 9 months), and
- Involves dealing with business transformation issues as well as technical issues.
- 5+ years demonstrated capability of managing/leading a team of specialists, technical analysts or programmers on information technology development projects, including employees and contracted resources.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience leading technical design and technical requirements gathering sessions and experience in review of existing systems, technology and healthcare integration solutions and performing technical and solution due diligence.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in the development of Architecture and Deliverables.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience standing up and delivering enterprise solutions/services, providing experience on maintainability and long-term lifecycles that extend beyond initial implementation.
- 3+ years demonstrated experience in system implementation or integration with Drug Information Systems. Experience with Medigent DIS preferred.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in transformational projects acting as an architect with proven capabilities mentoring technical teams.
- 3+ years demonstrated hands on experience as an architect in the eHealth space.
- 2+ years demonstrated experience working with eHealth Standards Based Messaging, including HL7 V2, V3 and FHIR.
- Demonstrated competency in communication skills (written and oral) in English.
