We are looking for a Senior ETL Developer with strong Snowflake Data Cloud expertise to lead contemporary data engineering and architecture initiatives for our client in Calgary, Canada.
Role: Senior ETL Developer – Snowflake
Location: Calgary, Canada — Onsite
Contract: 6 Months
Domain: Data Engineering | Cloud Data | Analytics & AI
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable Snowflake data platforms using Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Develop ETL/ELT, CDC, ingestion, transformation, and data-quality solutions.
- Implement Snowflake governance, RBAC, security, masking, row-access policies, and cost optimization.
- Build and support pipelines using Snowpipe, Python, SQL, Stored Procedures, and IDMC.
- Work with modern Snowflake capabilities including Cortex Analyst/Search, Snowflake Intelligence, Marketplace, and AI agents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Production experience with Medallion Architecture.
- Strong Python, SQL, IDMC, Git, and Azure DevOps/CI-CD skills.
- Experience with Power BI/QLIK and process orchestration such as Control-M.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Railway/transportation domain experience is an asset.
