Collaboration, continuous improvement, and community impact are at the core of how we work, as we continue to strengthen our internal capabilities to support long-term organizational success.The opportunityWe are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join ORION in a key leadership role responsible for both shaping and delivering the organization’s HR function. Reporting to the CFO, this role provides full-spectrum HR leadership, balancing strategic input with hands‑on execution across all aspects of human resources.This is an opportunity to build on a strong existing HR foundation and play a central role in advancing ORION’s people strategies. The successful candidate will partner closely with leadership to enhance employee engagement, drive effective people practices, and ensure compliance, while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day HR operations.If you are a collaborative, pragmatic HR professional who brings sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics,



this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a mission‑driven organization.Key responsibilitiesLead and manage the full-cycle HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboardingAct as the primary HR advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on best practices, policies, and employee‑related mattersDevelop, update, and implement HR policies and programs aligned with organizational values and compliant with Ontario employment legislationSupport leadership in driving employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives, including development planningManage end‑to‑end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer administrationOversee HRIS (Collage) and employee records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective reportingDevelop and analyze HR metrics to inform decision‑making and continuous improvementSupport change management initiatives and organizational priorities, including return‑to‑office practicesAdminister employee benefits programs, including enrolment, changes, and renewalsMaintain and evolve compensation frameworks to support market competitivenessIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes and leverage technology to enhance efficiencySkills and qualificationsPost‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience6+ years of progressive, broad HR experience in a generalist capacityStrong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practicesDemonstrated ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a hands‑on environmentHigh emotional intelligence,



sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamicsStrong communication skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and challenge stakeholders constructivelyExperience with HRIS platforms (experience with Collage is an asset)Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independentlyCHRP or CHRL designation is considered an assetExperience in a not‑for‑profit or similarly complex, stakeholder‑driven environment is an assetWhat we offerThe salary range for this position is$85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
