Data Product Manager – Machine Learning & Customer Intelligence (Contract, Remote)

Our client is a global design and engineering software company whose products are used by architects, engineers, manufacturers, and media studios worldwide. Their Go-to-Market Data & Intelligence team builds the customer data, analytics, and machine learning products that sales, marketing, and revenue teams rely on — and they're looking for a Data Product Manager to own the roadmap for their data science and ML product work.

This is a role for someone who has actually product-managed machine learning models into production, not just consumed their outputs. You'll take strategic priorities from senior stakeholders and turn them into clear, prioritized roadmaps for data scientists, data engineers, and analytics teams. You'll run discovery, own prioritization and trade-offs, manage delivery through to release, and present recommendations and results to senior executives.

What you'll be doing

- Translating strategic goals into product roadmaps, epics, releases, and requirements for data science and engineering teams
- Leading discovery with business and technical stakeholders to define use cases, workflows, and target outcomes
- Owning prioritization across customer value, strategic fit, dependencies, feasibility, and effort — and explaining those trade-offs clearly
- Product-managing predictive models for customer retention, renewal, and expansion, and getting their outputs into Salesforce where they drive action
- Partnering daily with engineering managers, tech leads, data engineers, data scientists, BI, and governance specialists
- Helping fellow data product managers define the data and model lifecycle and improve how ML products are built and managed
- Presenting product strategy, findings,

and recommendations to senior executives and C-suite stakeholders

What we're looking for

You've worked as a Data Product Manager or Technical Product Manager where the products you owned were data science or machine learning products, and you can walk through at least one model you took from hypothesis to production and business impact. You understand the end-to-end data and model lifecycle well enough to make valuable calls with data scientists, without needing to build the models yourself. You've run product discovery, managed epics and releases in an Agile environment, and facilitated hard decisions between business and technical teams.

You also bring depth in enterprise data — customer data governance, MDM, or large-scale data and analytics platforms — and you've worked with teams that build scalable data foundations and predictive models on top of them.

You're comfortable in the room with executives. You can take a complex data product and explain what it does, what it costs, and what decision you're asking for.

Strong fits often come from consulting data and AI practices, or from large, mature enterprises with serious data management functions. Experience delivering ML outputs into Salesforce or another enterprise CRM is a plus. Traditional BI or dashboard experience on its own won't be enough for this one.

The details

- Initial 6-month contract, extension expected
- Full-time hours on Eastern Time, fully remote within Canada
- $60–$70/hr on a T4 contract (incorporated / corp-to-corp arrangements are not available for this role)
- Team based primarily in Toronto; hiring manager in Europe, so some early-morning overlap

If you've shipped machine learning products that changed how a sales or customer team works, I'd like to talk.
