HR SpecialistOakvilleMust be Double Vaccinated18-month contract - may be extendedSalary $28-$31/hrMonday to Friday 8:30-4:30 3 days minimum on-siteKey ResponsibilitiesAct as a main point of contact for employees for HR inquiries, issues or questions.Respond in a timely and accurate manner to routine requests for information and direction about all employment programs – policy interpretation, time and attendance, recruitment, etc.Coordinate and facilitate the new employee orientation program on a regular basis and ensure new hires have positive employee experience.Employee timesheets and vendor invoice processing.Confirm start date logistics, gather recent hire paperwork, and coordinate with HR team and hiring manager for smooth transition to active duty.Assist HR leads in advertising employment opportunities, pre-screening resumes, conducting phone screens, interviewing and handling end-to-end recruitment of assigned roles.Ensure employee attestation of various Human Resources policies and trainings.Support HR Leads by running HRIS reports, creating and analyzing HR metricsTrack and file all employee-related documents i.E., Performance Warnings, Reviews, Policy Signoffs, etc.Assist in the preparation of documents, such as preparation of letters i.E. employment verification,



employment offers and transfer/promotion.Work closely with the Information Technology team to deploy and recover assets for new hires, employees on leave and departuresReview currency of published HR policies on company intranet and update as required.Education, Training, Experience and SkillsPost-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources1-3 years' experience working in an HR Specialist roleExperience in a Distribution Centre environmentKnowledge of MS Office products with advanced Excel skillsLi> Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within an HR environmentEmployee Relations experienceHealth and Safety related experience.
