About the RoleWe are responsible for executing major projects within the Transformers and Switchgear Canadian business area, including transportation, logistics, customer interface, scheduling, communication, and coordination of transformer equipment installations. The role interfaces with global transformer factory project management teams, business development, marketing, logistics, installation advisors, proposal specialists, and contract administrators to ensure secure and compliant transformer installations for the Siemens Energy Canadian customer base.ResponsibilitiesLead all project management activities, including development of the overall project schedule, project plan, and communication plan. Manage contract execution, project financial performance, and budget, including identification and mitigation of risks, maintaining the project risk register, and implementing lessons learned.Serve as the primary customer interface, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high level of customer satisfaction.Execute projects from order handover through to warranty, acting as the single point of contact for the customer while building and maintaining strong relationships. Oversee execution from order receipt through the end of warranty, including coordination with our factories for warranty support and alignment of field activities.Communicate contract requirements and schedules to internal teams, installation supervisors, and subcontractors.Review sub‑supplier documentation to ensure compliance with technical specifications, performance requirements, cost targets,
and project schedules.Monitor and control project costs to meet or exceed budget targets while maintaining quality and schedule commitments. Support the implementation of project governance practices, including reporting, documentation, and adherence to internal processes and standards.Qualifications6+ years of experience in a related role. University degree in Electrical/Electronic/Industrial Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, execution, coordination, administration, and documentation, with a commitment to customer satisfaction and cost control.Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, marketing, and field service teams to achieve common objectives.Solid understanding of contract documentation, including commercial and technical specifications, scope, schedule, and performance requirements.IPMA, PMI, or equivalent project management certification is an asset (and expected over time).Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in Canada without need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
