Senior .NET Azure API Developer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior .NET Azure API Developer with strong experience in designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance REST APIs using C# and the latest .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, and Azure platform services.

The role will focus on building high-throughput APIs, integrating internal and third-party systems, implementing cloud-native integration patterns, and supporting secure CI/CD deployments in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain REST APIs using C# and .NET 7/8.
- Build end-to-end API solutions integrating with internal enterprise systems and external/third-party APIs.
- Develop and maintain Azure Functions using multiple triggers, including:
- HTTP
- Timer
- Service Bus
- Event Grid
- Develop high-throughput, low-latency APIs capable of handling millions of transactions.
- Work extensively with Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.
- Build and deploy APIs using Azure App Services and other Azure platform services.
- Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID.
- Apply API integration and resiliency patterns including timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, and idempotency.
- Design scalable data solutions using Azure Cosmos DB and other distributed data stores.
- Implement structured logging, application metrics, and distributed tracing using Azure Application Insights and Azure Monitor.
- Ensure APIs meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, availability,



and performance.
- Develop secure and reliable deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to performance optimization and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver cloud-based solutions.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong experience in the areas outlined below.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET, specifically .NET 7/8.
- Proven experience developing end-to-end REST APIs.
- Robust experience integrating APIs with internal systems and external/third-party APIs.
- Hands-on experience developing Azure Functions with multiple trigger types.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Blob Storage.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB.
- Experience with Azure App Services and core Azure platform services.
- Strong understanding of API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience implementing resiliency and integration patterns such as retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, and idempotency.
- Experience with Application Insights and Azure Monitor for logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Strong understanding of scalable, distributed, and cloud-native application architectures.

- Experience with Azure Container Apps.
- Experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
- Exposure to microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience building highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
