Job OverviewHPE Networking seeks a Pre‑Sales Systems Engineer to support Tier 2 service providers by delivering technical sales solutions and driving closure.ResponsibilitiesManage the technical close and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.Partner with HPE Account Managers to qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful engagements.Present and articulate HPE solutions relative to customer business requirements and competitors.Lead technical discussions, including virtualization, automation, and emerging technologies.Develop and propose tailored solutions leveraging the full range of HPE Networking products.Interface with internal and external experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solution development.QualificationsMinimum 6 + years of technical professional, pre‑sales/post‑sales experience.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Expert-level knowledge of routing technologies (MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, etc.) and experience with Security, Automation, Cloud/Datacenter, Network Virtualization.Experience working with Service Provider networks in a technical/pre‑sales role.Hold specific networking certifications (e.G., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, CCIE).Knowledge or strong curiosity about network automation, virtualization, agentic AI, and MCP.Experience with automation tools such as Python,



Ansible, Netconf‑YANG, JSON, Openconfig.Effective, articulate communicator with strong customer‑facing skills.Hands‑on, customer‑first approach and ability to work within a competitive market team.CompensationAnnual Salary USD 146,000 – 343,000 in Texas; CAD 161,500 – 300,500 in Ontario, with a 75%/25% base to target‑level mix.
