The Clerk/Receptionist is a valuable member of the team and has a significant impact on the efficient and effective operation of the clinics. The successful candidate will be responsible for both clerical and receptionist duties. The primary location will be clinic 2.Responsibilities Include:Scheduling clinic appointments for initial consultation and follow-up visits including co-ordination of required diagnostic tests and blood workWork with an interprofessional team of doctors,



nurses and nurse practitioners to provide exceptional patient care by coordinating appointments and follow upGreeting patients and providing exceptional serviceAnswering and directing telephone calls to the appropriate personnelFollow-up of telephone reminder appointments to patients as requiredEntering lab orders and diagnostic testsFiling compiling and/or photocopying reports to send to various outside agenciesWhat you bring to the role:Previous medical reception/clerical experience requiredMinimum of 1 year experience in a clinic/outpatient settingKnowledge of and/or completion of a medical terminology courseProficient computer skills including Microsoft office toolsMeditech experience required with proficiency booking multiple appointment typesExcellent written and verbal communication through email phone and in person interactions including patients and physiciansBeing able to multitask in a fast paced setting and handle high pressure situationsAble to accommodate multiple competing requestsCritical thinking skills with ability to investigate scheduling, registration and order issuesMust have experience with scheduling diagnostic testing and lab testingExcellent organization skillsExcellent public relations and communication skills with a pleasant telephone manner Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the team Evidence of good attention to detailMust have demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies,
