Work typically consists of 4 to 5 hour shifts. Hours are not guaranteed and follow the school calendar (September through June), with closures in winter, spring and summer.Incumbents can apply for permanent positions (approximately 20 hours per week) when vacancies are posted.Typical DutiesOrder, prepare, and serve a simple breakfast to students at selected schools.Organize prepared lunches for and distribute to students.Monitor food quality, deliveries, food temperatures and food safety,



and communicate any concerns to Supervisor.Modify food orders depending on students’ food allergies.Keep basic records using a computer.Mandatory Job RequirementsCurrent Food Safe I certificate.At least one year’s experience in a fast‑paced food service environment; basic food preparation and serving skills.Able to speak, read and write in English; able to order online and use email.Valid BC Driver’s License and a vehicle to travel between schools.This position pays $24.85 per hour plus an allowance in lieu of benefits.Work is on‑call, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.M. to 1:00 p.M. during the school year (September to June).Successful applicants will be required to consent to a Criminal Records Search prior to employment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
