Senior Procurement Specialist

Contract: 3 months

Location: Toronto, onsite

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist for a 3-month contract. In this role, you will manage procurement activities from planning and sourcing through to contract administration, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage procurement activities for a variety of goods and services.
- Work with internal clients to understand requirements, timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Determine the appropriate procurement process and develop procurement strategies.
- Prepare and manage RFPs, tenders, quotations, and proposals .
- Evaluate supplier submissions and support the selection and awarding of contracts.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and consultants regarding pricing, scope, terms, and conditions.
- Prepare and administer contracts, purchase orders, and change orders .
- Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and financial requirements.
- Assist with resolving contract or supplier issues and escalate concerns when required.




- Stay informed on procurement trends, regulations, and market conditions.

Qualifications & Experience

- University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field .
- Approximately 1–3+ years of procurement experience , ideally within a public sector or highly regulated environment.
- Robust knowledge of procurement processes, tendering, RFPs, contracts, and supplier negotiations .
- Experience with contract administration and evaluating supplier proposals.
- Knowledge of contract law, risk management, and procurement legislation/policies is an asset.
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Professional purchasing/supply chain designation or progress toward one (e.g., SCMP) is an asset
