Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment and Employee Development, the Senior Registrar, Teacher Certification (Senior Registrar)
is a key member of the team responsible for ensuring that educators hired in Nunavut meet established certification requirements and are certified accordingly.
The Senior
Registrar is responsible for the development of policy options, for the Nunavut Educator Qualification Service (NEQS), as a way of keeping current with changes to territorial legislation and/or nationally recommended protocols for certification. This position also oversees the activities required to substantiate each salary evaluation/re-evaluation request and makes an appropriate salary level/adjustment determination based on established policies and procedures.
