We are seeking a Full Time Senior Software Engineer (IBM SFG) with strong hands-on experience in IBM Sterling File Gateway, Global Mailbox, Connect, and Control Center. The ideal candidate will design, develop, support, and maintain secure file transfer solutions for enterprise banking and financial services environments

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway, Global Mailbox, and Connect
- Configure SFG routing rules, code lists, business processes, partner profiles, and file transfer workflows
- Support secure file exchanges for ACH, EFT, wire payments, treasury, and cash management
- Onboard internal and external partners including certificates, encryption keys, protocols, and connectivity testing
- Troubleshoot file transfer failures, routing issues, duplicate processing, and partner connectivity
- Perform application maintenance, upgrades, patching, and environment health checks
- Monitor platform performance and availability using IBM Control Center and enterprise monitoring tools
- Implement encryption, decryption, SSL/TLS, PGP, PKI, and secure transmission standards
- Collaborate with business, operations, infrastructure, security, and application teams




- Participate in production support, incident management, RCA, and recovery activities
- Create technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of hands-on IBM Sterling File Gateway experience
- Strong experience with IBM Global Mailbox, Connect, and Control Center
- Expertise in SFG routing rules, code lists, business processes, and partner management
- Robust SFTP, AS2, MQ, HTTP/S, and Connect experience
- Experience with partner onboarding and certificate management
- Strong SSL/TLS, PGP encryption, PKI, and secure key management knowledge
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ACH, EFT, wire payments, treasury, or payment platforms
- Banking and financial services integration experience
- IBM Sterling Secure Proxy experience
- Azure or AWS experience
- DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation knowledge
- Experience supporting highly available and disaster recovery Sterling environments
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 and payment messaging standards
