COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Ludia is an innovative and dynamic studio specializing in mobile game development. Based in Montreal since 2007, over 3.5 million players around the world dive into our universes every month. Our portfolio combines iconic global franchises and original creations, including Jurassic World™ Alive, Jurassic World™: The Game, Dragons: Rise of Berk, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Legends, and many more.

With more than 500 million downloads since our founding, we’re entering an exciting new chapter as an independent studio; one where growth is fueled by the passion of our team and our players.

As a Senior UX/UI Artist , you will play a key role in defining and creating the player experience for a new multiplayer mobile game.

At the intersection of UX Design and UI Art, you will transform Game Design intentions into intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling experiences tailored to the realities and standards of mobile gaming.

You will own features end-to-end: understanding the player problem, challenging proposed solutions, designing flows and interactions, rapidly prototyping, and pushing the experience through to a clear and cohesive player-facing solution.

Working closely with the Game Design, Art, Product, and Programming teams, you will contribute directly to the decisions that shape the game experience. With a strong artistic sensibility, you will also have the ability to influence the visual direction of the UI.

We are looking for a hands-on profile with a strong understanding of the mobile market, a genuine player-centered UX mindset, and the visual sensibility needed to bring solutions to life.

- Transform UX intentions into visually clear, engaging solutions that are consistent with the game’s art direction.

- Design and create visually compelling interfaces that align with the game’s identity and are adapted to mobile constraints.
- Rapidly create flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in Figma to explore, communicate, and validate different solutions.
- Apply solid judgment in visual hierarchy, composition, readability, interaction, and player feedback.
- Push concepts beyond wireframes to clearly communicate the intended player-facing experience.
- Contribute to the consistency and evolution of the project’s UI/UX design system.

Production & Collaboration

- Collaborate daily with Game Design, Art, Product, and Programming, from initial concept through implementation.
- When relevant, support and directly integrate UI/UX solutions in Unity.
- Clearly communicate your intentions and advocate for your design decisions while remaining open to iteration and feedback.
- Stay current with mobile games, UX/UI standards, and market trends.
- Explore new tools and workflows, including AI, to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and production where relevant.

- Significant experience working on shipped mobile games, along with a strong interest in the mobile gaming market.

- Solid understanding of Game UX and the ability to identify player problems, challenge Game Design assumptions, and create intuitive experiences.
- Strong visual sensibility and UI craft, with the ability to transform UX intentions into clear, engaging, and cohesive player-facing solutions.
- Ability to take hands-on ownership of a feature from initial thinking through execution.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual sensibility, with clear examples of your process, individual contribution, and the quality of the UI/UX experiences you have delivered.

- Strong artistic sensibility and the ability to influence the visual direction of the UI.

Highly Valued Skills

- Hands-on experience integrating UI in Unity.

- Experience working on a new IP or a project in pre-production.
- Knowledge of accessibility principles as applied to game interfaces.

? YOUR PORTFOLIO

- Your portfolio should allow us to understand how you think as much as what you create.
