Service/Procurement Support

Diversified Transportation has an exciting recent opportunity for a Service/Procurement Support based in Fort McMurray.

Reporting directly to the Regional Maintenance and Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for purchasing for the company and maintaining records, files, and databases. This role involves acquiring the best value in quality and prices for the company. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, have excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as be comfortable negotiating with the best interest of the company in mind.

The shift for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Enter, verify, and record mileage data for fleet vehicles
- Inventory control including parts replenishment
- Create, track, and close work and purchase orders for the shop
- Design and maintain vendor reports and evaluate issues and assist to prepare data reports for purchasing system and manage buying trends
- Coordinate with supervisor and provide support to product research programs




- Ensure accuracy in SKU and product plan and maintain tracking of receipts from various locations
- Coordinate with vendor to maintain knowledge on product and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with internal and external customers and manage pricing and availability of products
- Assist the service team as per operational needs

Desired Requirements:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Access and Excel
- High attention to detail and confidentiality and must be fully aware of the sensitivity of the position and act upon it accordingly
- High level of initiative and an ability to work under minimal supervision or direction
- Willingness to learn and grow within a multi-office/location organization
- Post-secondary education in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management is not required but considered an asset

Compensation: $58,240 annually, increasing to $61,360 following probation
