Job Title : Survey Assistant

Assist the Survey Technologist/Line Locate Technologist to conduct field surveys. Involves locating survey monuments, buried utilities, and other features utilizing GPS and conventional technologies.

The successful candidate may be involved in engineering, construction or legal surveying in urban and/or rural areas.
Set-up and operation of conventional survey and GPS equipment.
Follow directions from the Technologist (party chief)
maintain equipment, maintain supplies, stock company vehicle
use tools and equipment such as sledge hammer, shovel, metal detector and survey tripod

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma required
One year technical school education and previous experience an asset.
Physically fit, able to lift medium/heavy equipment
willing to work in diverse environmental conditions including urban & rural setttings,



complex industrial and commercial sites and potentially wildlife areas
some out of town work is a possibility
must possess valid driver’s license
First Aid Level 1, CPR H2S are assets
Good written & verbal communication skills, attention to detail and reliable

Salary: $24.00 to $32.00 /hour
